The Formula SAE Rookie Program introduces students to the technical, organizational, and professional skills needed to participate in Colegio Racing Engineering.
This course is designed for students who are interested in joining the team, regardless of their academic major or previous experience. Topics include Formula SAE fundamentals, engineering decision-making, technical communication, failure and risk analysis, mechanical design, electric vehicle systems, and integrative engineering scenarios.
Students are expected to complete all course sections and the final Interest and Skills Survey. Survey responses will help the team understand each student’s interests, skills, availability, and preferred areas of involvement. Students who complete the course may be considered for team recruitment and placement, although completion does not guarantee a team position.
No previous Formula SAE experience is required. Honest participation, curiosity, and willingness to learn are encouraged.
